The Connected Car - 55% of all cars sold in 2020 will be connected

A recent IHS survey says that 55% of new vehicles sold globally by 2020 will be connected. This will result in nearly half of all vehicles in operation will be connected.  The IHS defines "Connected" as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), smartphone integration, telematics, infotainment, remote vehicle controls, WI-FI, and autonomy.  In the IHS survey, the IHS learned that consumers crave connectivity in their vehicle.
